PLATE SAWING

Achieve precise and efficient cuts with our advanced metal plate sawing services, tailored to meet the demands of industries requiring accuracy and reliability.

P&P Bornmore Metals offers metal plate sawing for aluminium, stainless steel and other alloys, providing straight, accurate cuts on a wide range of plate thicknesses. Our plate saws support both one off jobs and repeat production, helping engineering and fabrication customers reduce preparation time and improve yield.

Our Tyro plate saw can cut material up to 6" thick, and we carry full plate stock that can be sawn into billets, square and rectangular pieces, discs and rings. From aluminium to zinc and many alloys in between, plate sawing is suitable for a wide range of materials and thicknesses.

Accurate plate sawing supports tight dimensional tolerances, clean edges and repeatable sizes on production batches. Optimised nesting and cutting patterns help maximise plate utilisation and reduce scrap, which is both cost efficient and more environmentally responsible.

Benefits of our plate sawing service include:

  • Reduced in house cutting and preparation time

  • Less waste and better material yield

  • Consistent, square cuts for machining, fabrication and profiling

  • Plates cut to manageable sizes for handling and downstream processing

Our plate sawing service is used by customers in precision engineering, general fabrication, marine, offshore, transport, architectural and shopfitting sectors. Typical applications include machined components, base plates, fixtures, wear plates, frames and structural elements where accurate cut plate helps simplify production.

As a multi metal stockholder, we combine plate sawing with local stock and bar cutting so customers can place consolidated orders for bar, plate and other products. Material can be supplied as full plate, sawn blanks or a mix of cut and uncut items, delivered from our Midlands, Blackburn and Bristol sites.

If you need accurately sawn plate as part of your next project or want to reduce time spent cutting in house, contact our team to discuss plate sawing options, material availability and delivery times.
